Tennessee CPE Requirements

License Renewal Date: Biennial

CPE Reporting Period: January 1 - December 31

General Requirements
  • 80 Total CPE Hours
  • 40 A&A, Ethics, Attest, Taxation, MAS CPE Hours (includes: Accounting / Auditing / Attest, Taxation, Ethics, Management Advisory Services)
  • 2 Tennessee Rules and Regulations CPE Hours [Effective 1/1/2013]
Annual Requirements
  • 20 Annual CPE Hours

Other Requirements
  • Are you engaged in attest function (including compilations)?
    If Yes: 20 Accounting / Auditing / Attest CPE Hours
Initial License:

Licensees seeking to renew an initial certificate issued less than one year prior to expiration will be exempt from CPE requirements for that renewal period. Licensees seeking to renew an initial certificate issued less than two years but more than one year prior to expiration must complete 40 CPE hours, of which 20 hours shall be in the subject areas of accounting, accounting ethics, attest, tax, or management advisory services.
