For many Americans, unless they are one of the top 10% of wealthy individuals in the country, their home is the most valuable asset they own. That makes it no surprise that fraudsters are coming up with new and more sophisticated ways to rob you of your home’s value. Whether it’s a single-family residence, duplex, condo, townhouse, vacation home or other residential property, the property can be at risk for fraud. In this course we will discuss home title frauds, squatting fraud, easement frauds, lien frauds, fraudulent transfers, and predatory lending frauds. If you or your clients own residential properties, this course will help you to understand the fraud risks and identify the red flags for fraud relating to your home.
