Custom Views is one of the most overlooked features in Excel. In this presentation, Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA, shares a variety of ways to automate your work in Excel by way of Custom Views. You’ll learn how to hide and unhide multiple worksheets at once, freeze or unfreeze worksheet panes on demand without repositioning your cursor, and how to store multiple print ranges/settings for a given worksheet.

Custom Views enables users to apply multiple filter settings at the same time, turn screen elements off or on, make a single set of data serve multiple purposes, compile long lists of data by filtering vs. sorting, and more.

You’ll have the knowledge you need in order to use Excel far more effectively after attending this presentation.

David typically demonstrates techniques from the version of Excel used by the majority of attendees. This means he uses Excel 2010, 2013, or 2016 to demonstrate techniques, but his detailed handouts identify differences in Excel 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016 when needed. His webcasts are fast-paced, and attendees often are surprised at the amount of ground he covers in a session. He welcomes participants’ questions, so come ready to pick his brain. David’s detailed handouts, with numbered steps, serve as reference material you can utilize going forward. He also provides an Excel workbook that includes most of the examples he uses during the webcast.
