Steven C. Wrappe

Steve Wrappe is a principal in the Washington, D.C., office of KPMG LLP and an internationally recognized expert on transfer pricing and dispute resolution. He has more than 30 years tax experience with 20 years of specialization in all aspects of transfer pricing across a variety of industries, including automotive, automotive parts, transportation, pharmaceutical, electronics, energy, electronic services, food and spirits, photographic, and consumer goods. Prior to joining KPMG, Mr. Wrappe was an attorney with the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International), Advance Pricing Agreement Program(APA), and led the APA practices with Big Four accounting firms and a global law firm. His experience in transfer pricing controversy includes examination, appeals, ADR solutions, advance pricing agreements, mutual agreement procedures (MAP),and Customs agreements.

Wrappe has had direct involvement in more than 150 APAs and MAPs in a cross-section of industries, transactions and methodologies, and he serves as global or North American transfer pricing adviser to a number of Fortune 500 companies. Wrappe is a frequent speaker at leading legal, tax and corporate conferences and he has authored many articles and publications on transfer pricing topics, including Transfer Pricing: Rules, Compliance and Controversy, published by CCH.

Recognized by Euromoney and the International Tax Review as a "Leading Transfer Pricing Advisor," he has served as Chair of the Transfer Pricing Committee of the ABA Section of Taxation. Wrappe is also an adjunct professor, teaching transfer pricing at the Georgetown University Law Center, New York University School of Law, and University of Florida School of Law.
