James CummingsWith more than 10 years of banking experience (half of them related specifically to payments), James’ understanding of payments was coupled with compliance last year when he assumed the dual title of Director of Program Management & Compliance. In addition to being responsible for the overall compliance of Sage Payment Solutions relative to ACH and government regulations, James was responsible for rolling out a PCI program to over 70,000 merchants. Working closely with merchants, the card brands as well as Trustwave (one of the largest and most respected providers of PCI services in the industry), James has become one of Sage’s primary PCI Subject Matter Experts (SME).Most recently James and the Senior Director of Network Security and Infrastructure for Sage Payments conducted a Webinar on securing networks – helping assess the threat to a business. James also spearheaded and provided much of the content for the soon-to-be revised Compliance section of the Sage Payments website. Although James recently transitioned the Compliance Group to the Risk Department within Sage Payments, he continues to offer his assistance and knowledge as needed. |
