The Washington Post reported the US Government loses between $233 Billion and $521 Billion to fraud on an annual basis. With California’s unemployment fund insolvency due to $55 Billion in fraud and Consumer Affairs reporting an 82% increase in government benefits fraud this issue is once again requiring the attention of accountants, auditors, and fraud investigators.
