In the first session of this two part series, David Ringstrom, CPA will walk you through building your first database in Microsoft Access. Many Excel users often shy away from Access, but you'll see that Access is not only approachable, but easier than you think to use. David will create a simple timekeeping database from scratch, so you'll gain firsthand experience with tables, queries, forms, and reports.
Attendees can download a copy of the presentation handout as well as a copy of the completed database to review prior to the session. David will be teaching from Access 2010 in this session, but Access 2007 users will be able to easily follow along. The presentation includes alternate instructions for Access 2003 users.
The second session covers more advanced topics that enhance the functionality of this database.
