Join Lynn Fountain, CPA, CGMA, CRMA, as she provides an overview of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and walks you through Section 404. Sarbanes-Oxley was passed in 2002 and the first year of attestation for SOX Section 404 was 2004. Section 404 is the most prominent of the eleven separate sections of the legislation. It has, by far, been the most costly and time-consuming element of compliance for both companies and auditors.

This on-demand course will provide an overview of the legislation as well as the proper processes, controls and tests companies must use to determine adequate internal and financial controls. We discuss how to recognize components of SOX and the Internal Control Framework, the requirements for Top-Down Risk Assessment, as well as how to identify legislation changes and challenges, Auditing Standard 2 and Auditing Standard 5, and how to discover the SOX Sequence of process (documentation, design, evaluation).
This on-demand course is dedicated to examining and executing a proper methodology for compliance with SOX 404. In completing this course, participants will be prepared to adequately comply with elements of SOX 404.
